Pendant "The Last Goat"

$140.00

A one-of-a-kind epoxy resin pendant containing two oval fragments from an original documentary photograph made by Arik Shraga in 2011 as part of Zabereg — a long-term project documenting the slow disappearance of remote villages in Russia’s Arkhangelsk region.

The photograph was created using a hand-made monocle lens, giving the scene its distinctive softness and gentle blur.

The image of a solitary goat standing in an empty northern field in Pirinem’ village becomes a symbol of a vanishing way of life. The reverse side features the fading outlines of the rural settlement — homes, poles, and paths dissolving into the fog-laden landscape.

The pendant is handcrafted and resin-sealed by the photographer, transforming a documentary moment into a tactile, wearable artifact of memory.

Accompanying print: Each pendant comes with a postcard-sized print of the original photograph from which the fragments were taken.

Materials: Epoxy resin, stainless-steel bail
One-of-a-kind: No two pendants are identical
